Becoming a Donor / Why Donate?
When Warren Buffet, the world’s second richest man, is donating over 30 billion dollars of his fortune to charity, one has to ask… what can I do to make an impact as well? With over 67% of all households giving $25 or more during 2006 and the average household contribution exceeding $3,600 last year, one has to consider how his or her donation can be best utilized.
Why Give to the Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund?
If you think back to your undergraduate years, how much they really meant to you and what a difference and impact they have made on where you are today, providing undergraduates the opportunity to be afforded the same should answer that questions for you.
The Endowment Fund is the single fund raising arm of Kappa Sigma and it assists our undergraduate chapters and members in many ways. The Endowment Fund awards over a quarter million dollars annually in scholarships to deserving and outstanding undergraduate brothers which encourages leadership, academic achievement and service.
The Endowment Fund is partially responsible for holding down the cost of membership to our undergraduate brothers by helping fund the educational programs of the Order. It is to a large extent responsible for Kappa Sigma being the most affordable college Fraternity.
In addition, the Endowment Fund is currently in the process of raising the funds necessary to erect a state of the art Headquarters in Charlottesville that will serve the Fraternity for ages to come.
For these reasons your tax deductible gift will help insure that Kappa Sigma Fraternity will exist and prosper in the years and decades ahead. The power is yours to help undergraduates experience the same events that changed your life forever.
