Q: What is the Renaissance Campaign?

A: It is Kappa Sigma's campaign to build the finest fraternal headquarters in North America. The new Kappa Sigma International headquarters in Charlottesville, Virginia will house all administrative offices of the Fraternity; contain a museum to prominently display Kappa sigma and all chapter history for Brothers throughout the ages; and a model Chapter room and conference center. As always, this campaign will support the Endowment Fund's longstanding dedications to the educational and charitable activities of the Fraternity.

Q: Who is on the Renaissance Campaign Committee?

A: The Honorary Chairmen are Past Worthy Grand Scribe, William D. Dorsey, Past Worthy Grand Master, Brian J. O'Dwyer, Past Worthy Grand Master, Dr. David W. Persky, and Past Worthy Grand Master of Ceremonies & Past Worthy Grand Scribe, Col. Ronald J. "Spider" Webb, USAF Ret. The overall Renaissance Campaign Chairman is Past Worthy Grand Master, Kevin S. Kaplan. Additionally, there are over 200 alumni Brothers, one from each active and dormant Chapter of Kappa Sigma known as Chapter Chairmen. The Chapter Chairman will work closely with the Area Development Managers (ADMs).

Q: What is an Area Development Manager?

A: The Area Development Manager (ADM) is responsible for raising funds for the Renaissance Campaign. the ADM will work closely with the Chapter Chairman in the effort to raise funds for the Renaissance Campaign. The ADMs are:

Q: What is the financial goal of the Renaissance Campaign?

A: The Renaissance Campaign must raise 12 million dollars, and to date the campaign has raised nearly 5 million.

Q: What recognition do I receive for my donation?

A: Every donor will have his name entered in the Book of Honor to be displayed in the museum. For larger gifts there are naming opportunities beginning at just $1,000.

Q: If I pledge now, how long will I have to fulfill my pledge?

A: Pledges may be paid over a period of up to five years.

Q: When will the Headquarters construction be complete?

A: Construction is scheduled to being September 2005 and estimated to be complete in Spring 2007.

Q: Who will actually own the property?

A: The Kappa Sigma Fraternity and Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund will jointly own the new International Headquarters. Most importantly, the new Headquarters will be placed in trust for all Brothers and held in perpetuity.

Q: How can I make my gift?

A: Various ways. You can make a one-time cash gift; give annually, quarterly, monthly. You may also make a gift of appreciated stock or a charitable remainder unit trust. We will be happy to work with you so that your gift can be made in the manner that best fits into your plans.

Q: Will my gift be tax-deductible?
