Gilbert Lopez, Jr

Rho-Upsilon (University of the Incarnate Word) ‘11
Recipient of 2013 William D. Dorsey Scholarship-Leadership Award

“My Kappa Sigma experience has been a life-changing journey through my college career. I rushed my freshmen year in Spring 2010 and became a founding father of the Rho-Upsilon chapter at University Of The Incarnate Word. I have learned so many life lessons and leadership skills though Kappa Sigma and it has made me a better individual and leader within the community. The fellowship of Kappa Sigma was more than I could have ever imagined; I have met so many brothers and alumni from surrounding chapters and while attending Conclaves, it has truly been the best times of my life.
Winning the William D. Dorsey Scholarship-Leadership Award is a true honor and blessing. I have worked hard my entire college career in my studies as well as being Grand Master of my chapter for two consecutive years. I’m truly grateful for the alumni and brothers such as William D. Dorsey that donate to the Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund and help undergraduate brothers, such as myself, afford college.”
